Doloc Town Guide: Systems, Upgrades, and Early Tips
A source-first Doloc Town guide covering the confirmed early-game systems, tool progression, inventory upgrades, and practical starting tips.
Doloc Town is a side-scrolling farming simulation and adventure RPG on Windows PC through Steam. Version 1.0 launched on August 6, 2026, and the early game is driven by farming, tools, exploration, quests, and the Tech Tree.
This guide uses the facts available in the supplied 1.0 research. Numbers from older beta material are labeled when they still appear here.
Verified game systems
- Farming, gathering, building, fishing, animal raising, crop genes, automation, exploration, combat, and cooking are listed on the official Steam page.
- The player has Energy, Health, and Stamina, shown in the upper-left corner. Napping, sleeping, and food restore them.
- The main tools are the Scythe, Pickaxe, and Axe. Tool actions grant Field Study, Tech Research, and Tool Operation points for the Tech Tree.
- The Tech Tree contains 81 technologies across four trees: Agricultural 24, Industrial 17, Life 22, and Animal 18.
Early-game priorities
- Plant Endyam first because it reaches its first harvest in about two days.
- Do not build many one-time Plant Basin - Basic planters early.
- Work through the opening quests, and collect Soil before spending time on Wood.
- One practical start is a row of ten Plant Basin - Wood planters with a Platform - Wooden above them.
- After unlocking cooking, cook Endyam to sell it for 5 G more than the raw crop.
- After River Valley opens, collect Copper for a lightning rod and tool upgrades.
Inventory, travel, and combat
- Hult sells backpack upgrades from his shop east of the farm: 20 slots for 500 Goldcoin, 30 slots for 4,000, and 40 slots for 10,000.
- Repair the bus station after the Night Meeting quest by using the mayor log at Treaty Port. Bus travel consumes a Ticket, which is scarce early.
- The gun is purchased from Cod after joining Orlando in River Valley and completing some guild tasks. It is mounted on the player drone rather than held by hand.
- The game is single-player; no multiplayer mode was found in the research.
Version notes
Verify before planning
The game entered its launch-week update period after 1.0. Several third-party sources were updated around August 6-11, 2026, but any value that matters for a long-term plan should be checked in game after the next patch.
